  • Commencement Salary: $70,476 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role 

The Academic Services Officer is responsible for undertaking administrative activities associated with the delivery of the Academic Unit’s programs and its research activities. Duties may include maintenance support for program, course and teaching material, producing non-standard study plans, and providing support for assessments and result entry, scholarship and award processes, student registrations and providing support to the Academic Integrity Officer.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake a broad range of administrative activities to support the delivery of the Academic Unit’s programs and courses
  • Undertake the timetabling function for assigned program(s) within the Academic Unit in consultation with program directors and course coordinators
  • Collate, audit and upload exam timetable information into relevant University systems
  • Liaise with students to advise placement requirements and arrangements
  • Participate in the Academic Unit’s orientation activities

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience and/or post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role in a team-based service environment
  • Written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
