  • Salary range: Level 4: $64,000 - $70,082 or Level 5: $69,067 - $78,696 plus 9.5% superannuation

About the role

An opening currently exists in the Academic Services Team within the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. The Academic Services team is responsible for providing academic administration and support services to a wide range of clients including Heads of School, academic staff and students across the Faculty. The team is committed to providing a quality outcome with a focus on continuous improvement.

Under the general directions of the Academic Services Team Leader, you will provide expertise in a wide area of administrative duties to support the area to ensure its efficient operation.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency
  • Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service

About you

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have a strong customer focus background and a high level of administrative experience. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build and maintain working relationships with a wide range of clients. In this busy role, you will also bring well-developed time management and organisational skills to meet conflicting deadlines. You will have experience preparing agendas and minute taking for committees. You will provide a high quality of customer services to colleagues and senior stakeholders. This role requires an accommodating, organised, adaptable and willing professional with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

This position requires occasional travel by the successful candidate within the Perth metropolitan area
