  • Commencement Salary: $73,341 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

This position is responsible for the administration of the credit and admissions process to ensure the consistent application and interpretation of academic administration policies and procedures.

The position also provides high quality advice and support to key stakeholders in relation to the interpretation and application of University credit, admission policies and procedures, and ensure data is maintained through information systems.

Student and Academic Services (SAS) provides senior leadership in student and academic administration in a distributed service environment. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of policy, information systems and procedural frameworks. The Unit coordinates and provides quality assurance for a number of University functions including student admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduations, student finance and scholarships.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake domestic and international credit assessment and approval process
  • Complete admissions activities to support the achievement of the Academic Units’ student load targets
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on the interpretation and application of relevant University policies and procedures
  • Manage the required approval processes for admission and the establishment of formal credit agreements with domestic and international institutions
  • Contribute to the implementation of University wide initiatives relating to credit and admissions management

Essential Skills and Experience
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a complex service organisation, involving the provision of advice and recommendations to senior staff
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines
  • High level written and verbal skills including the preparation of written materials
