  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 02 February 2024
  • Commencement Salary: $73,341 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally organised individual with a high attention to detail and experience working in a complex service environment to join the Student and Academic Services team in the role of Academic Officer: Credit and Admissions.

You will be responsible for the administration of the credit and admissions process to ensure the consistent application and interpretation of academic administration policies and procedures. You will also provide high quality advice and support to key stakeholders in relation to the interpretation and application of University credit, admission policies and procedures, and ensure data is maintained through information systems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake domestic and international credit assessment and approval process
  • Complete admissions activities to support the achievement of the Academic Unit’s student load targets
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on the interpretation and application of relevant University policies and procedures
  • Manage the required approval processes for admission and the establishment of formal credit agreements with domestic and international institutions


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a complex service organisation, involving the provision of advice and recommendations to senior staff
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy along with exceptional written and verbal skills including preparation of written materials
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to an organisation
