  • Base Salary $91K p.a. pro rata + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The University Library’s modernisation agenda is focused on delivering high quality, client-centered services As an Academic Liaison Librarian, you’ll initiate and deliver quality client-centered library programs and services for academics, researchers, students and others in your designated client groups. You’ll also ensure that research skills development and information resources programs meet the current and future scholarly information needs of clients and are clearly aligned to emerging trends in information support services, while being cohesive with the strategic direction of the University. To achieve this, you will work as part of the team supporting the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Sydney Law School, and nominate as part of your position to focus on Education or Research support.
This role is intellectually stimulating, providing an opportunity for you to make an important contribution to teaching and research excellence across the university.

About you

  • a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients
  • excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take the initiative
  • experience in research support services and an understanding of the higher education research environment
  • experience in teaching and research skills programs
  • knowledge of the scholarly use of the internet, including digital resource creation
  • a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience.
