About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is Australia’s first university and has an outstanding global reputation for academic and research excellence. Across our campuses we employ over 8,100 academic and non-academic staff who support over 73,000 students.

Sydney is both a distinctly Australian university and a truly global one. We have had, from our beginning, a mission to pursue the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge and understanding, attuned to the aspirations of society. We remain committed to that mission. And nearly 170 years later, our aim remains clear: to harness our research intensity and comprehensiveness – a breadth and depth unique in Australia – to address some of the major global challenges of our time. Our foundational disciplinary strengths reside in eight faculties and university schools, which provide oversight to individual academic schools and discipline areas. Moreover, we have identified a number of multidisciplinary challenge spaces to which we are bringing the combined depth and breadth of our expertise, and the passions of researchers from across our faculties.

The Education Portfolio is responsible for enhancing the student experience and the quality of our teaching and learning. The Portfolio oversees our curriculum, education strategy, graduate research, educational integrity, quality and analytics, educational innovation, and academic enrichment
