About the role

This leadership role supports the Associate Dean Teaching and Learning through the provision of strategic leadership in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and innovative, technology driven, academic approaches within the Faculty of SABL.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring expertise in artificial intelligence and educational technology, coupled with strategic leadership and a collaborative approach. You will have a proven track record in developing and implementing innovative technologies to enhance the student experience, improve retention rates, and ensure the sustainability of the academic workforce. You will be adept at leading strategic planning efforts, developing and implementing policies, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across academic and non-academic departments.

You will possess a deep understanding of pedagogy, showcasing your ability to design and implement a Signature AI design pedagogy across the Faculty and University. Your commitment to continuous learning will lead the development of education and training programs for both staff and students. Beyond the academic realm, you will be capable of building strong relationships with local and global communities, positioning the Faculty and University as leaders in adopting AI and technology-driven academic innovations on a national and global scale. Overall, you will be results-oriented, ensuring that your leadership translates into measurable improvements in educational outcomes and institutional standing.
