About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical educator to join the Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS) in supporting its Strategic Plan 2023 – 2033. As a key player in this dynamic multi-disciplinary education team, you will be instrumental in increasing access to education in allied health and nursing for rural communities while providing valuable training experiences for students. This role offers a unique chance to work collaboratively, develop innovative inter-professional learning models, and make a meaningful impact on healthcare education in rural areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop innovative inter-professional approaches to education using diverse delivery modes for students undertaking a rural clinical placement.
- Promote existing, and where required support the design of new, educational resources for students and supervisors in rural settings in collaboration with the Going Rural Health Team
- Monitor and evaluate new placements to ensure these meet the learning needs of students of nursing and allied health.
Who We Are Looking For
You excel in communication, mentorship, and curriculum development, driving innovation in healthcare education. Your cultural competence and knowledge of rural healthcare are essential.
You will also have:
- Masters in nursing or allied health discipline;
- Experience in providing clinical education to nursing and/or allied health students or professionals;
- Commitment to working in multidisciplinary settings and adopting interprofessional approaches;
- Demonstrated experience in the development of partnerships with local health, education and other stakeholders

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
