About the University

UniSA was the first Australian University to make a public commitment to the achievement of reconciliation between Aboriginal Australians and non-indigenous Australians and in 2014 became the first University in South Australia to launch its own Reconciliation Action Plan. About the program

The Aboriginal Graduate Program is a two (2) year program, designed to develop graduates practical skills and experience, by building on theoretical knowledge gained through university studies.

Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to embark on their professional career at UniSA, through a tailored program structure specifically designed to develop the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen career or to experience work areas across a broad range of career aspirations.

What to expect:

  • 2-year program
  • 6-month work rotations to develop your skills and explore different areas of interest across the UniSA metro campuses (City West, City East, Magill, and Mawson Lakes)
  • The Consultant: Aboriginal Employment and Development and a personal mentor support you throughout the program
  • Dedicated induction, training, and development opportunities

Eligibility

You are welcome to apply for our 2021 Aboriginal Graduate program if you:

  • Are of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Are able to provide evidence to support your eligibility
  • Relevant tertiary qualification completed within the last 3 years or due for completion in the current year (2021).
