Area: Various Disciplines of Hydrogen Research 

The IRC-HES, KFUPM is seeking to make an appointment in specialized Hydrogen Research program. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 

  • Blue hydrogen production based on SMR and partial oxidation of natural gas
  • In-well hydrogen production and separation
  • Hydrogen storage in porous media including MOFs, zeolites, carbonaceous material as well as metal hydrides and sub-surface hydrogen storage
  • Electrochemical green ammonia synthesis and ammonia cracking for hydrogen production
  • Liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC)
  • Computational intelligence approach for modelling Hydrogen production, storage, and transportation. 

Candidate requirements: 

Applicants must hold doctoral degree from a world ranked university (within top 200), ideally, not older than 3-years, in a relevant discipline: Chemical/Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Geological Engineering/Geochemistry and Inorganic/Material Chemistry.

Candidate must have skills and research knowledge in the area of interest.
