Area:Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) 

The IRC-HES, KFUPM is looking for the candidates with the expertise in various Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) research areas. 

The applicant should be

  • technically sound in CCUS evaluation and development, thermodynamics, and familiar climate technology and policy.
  • knowledgeable about CO2 capture, gas separation, mineralization of carbon, and carbon sequestration.
  • a specialist in CCUS feasibility studies employing mechanistic modelling and simulation, including risk assessment and uncertainty analysis.
  • proficient in English writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • capable of contributing positively in a diverse team. 

Candidate requirements: 

Applicants must possess a Doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: Chemical/Process Engineering, Material Engineering, Geological Engineering/Geochemistry, and Inorganic/Material Chemistry. Preference will be given to recent graduates. Candidates with an outstanding track record of publications in the discipline and graduates from top-ranked institutions according to the QS global ranking (top 200 Universities) are especially encouraged to apply.
