Full Time, Fixed term for 6 months
UHI is Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands. We are now looking to recruit a Payroll Implementation Manager based in UHI Perth or one of the Academic partners involved in the HR and Payroll system project.
Working closely with the HR and Payroll Systems Manager and partner payroll teams to support the development and implementation of a new UHI HR and Payroll system. You will act as the authority on payroll and pensions during the system implementation.
Representing the payroll teams, you will improve existing and develop new payroll and pension processes to deliver an effective and efficient payroll and benefits service.
Throughout the implementation, you will liaise with the payroll teams at each partner to develop a detailed understanding of their current processes and requirements, ensuring the smooth transfer of payroll to the new system. You will also coordinate payroll user acceptance testing and have final approval.
Working with partner HR, payroll and finance teams, and wider stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing and designing payroll policy, processes and workflows, utilising the new system to its fullest in support of our staff journey and working in line with UHI and Partner strategic objectives and values.
You must be able to demonstrate significant breadth and depth of experience of payroll with in a large complex organisation or a partnership style organisation where there are multiple entities and sites. You must also be able to evidence a strong understanding and awareness of payroll and pension legislation/regulations and of key payroll processes.
