Summer Camp Educator
The Camp Educator assists the Camp Director with coordinating, teaching, and evaluating week-long summer nature camps and ensures the programs are of the highest quality. Responsibilities also include maintenance of educational materials, equipment, and program areas, including the Childrenâ??s Garden and vegetable garden.
College degree required. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated experience teaching in a non-formal or formal setting; Experience with day camps; experience and enthusiasm for leading nature programs for children; working knowledge of natural history and environmental education; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; dedicated to exceptional customer service; highly-motivated, energetic, organized, and flexible; proficient computer skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Valid NC driver's license; CPR/First Aid training required; and driving and Criminal background check required.
