Soroptimist International of Los Angeles (SILA), Western University

Soroptimist International of Los Angeles is offering its annual fellowship to an outstanding woman graduate student. This student must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of California. The award of $3,500 is for the 2012-2013 academic year and will be known as the Soroptimist International of Los Angeles Fellowship Award. The field of study is open, but consideration will be given to the candidate’s potential contribution to society.  

• WOMEN who are U. S. Citizens and Residents of California
• Have received a Bachelor’s degree (or will receive it prior to Fall, 2012)
• Enrolled in 2012-13 academic year
• Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement
• Have financial need
• Have performed services for her community
• File completed application materials, including official college transcript(s) of all upper division (junior and senior years) and graduate level work, and three letters of recommendation
