Position Summary
The School Leadership serves as the outreach unit for the School of Education and is dedicated to serving the local, state, and national educational community in improving instructional leadership in K-12 schools and other agency settings. The Institute operates multiple events, contracts, and grants that are off campus. The Director's position focuses on creating and implementing programs, and developing funding proposals. There is an essential need for a high-functioning, autonomous research specialist who can serve as an assistant to the director and manage internal unit operations while the director leverages resources, designs programs, and provides research and development services within K-12 schools.
This position exists to support the Division Leadership Support Team and School Leadership Institute. The employee in this position is expected to assist Center and grant-affiliated faculty and the Center director in their day-to-day research activities as requested and to propose and execute short descriptive research studies working independently with weekly supervision from the Center director.  
Required Qualifications
Required: Knowledge of web-editing, ability to learn computer programs quickly. Knowledge of office machines including fax and copier. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Access, Word, and Excel. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Detail oriented, ability to manage multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to troubleshoot technology-related issues (e.g., participants using an online observation tool). Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment is essential.
College degree

Conference or event planning experience
Professional editing experience
College degree in education or related field
