Job Function
Conducts laboratory studies in the field of antioxidant stress as it relates to cancer and cardiovascular disease. Becomes familiar with and says current with the literature relevant to the ongoing research in the laboratory. Independently designs and conducts experiments, maintains well organized records of experiments, analyzes data and draws conclusions. Prepares final versions of papers to be submitted for publication. Collaborates with other researchers. Supervises laboratory staff. Sets goals for the laboratory, ensures goals are met. Oversees all ordering for the laboratory and is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of all supplies ensures laboratory equipment is functioning properly.  
Department Preferences
Ph.D. in biochemistry or related field, and strong publication record in peer-reviewed journal

Required Education and Experience:
Education: Master's Degree comparable to where the vacancy exists
Experience: 60 months of research specialty experience, and 12 months of supervisory experience
Will accept a Ph.D. plus 36 months experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow
