Queensland Overseas Foundation Scholarship
Description: The Queensland Overseas Foundation is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that provides young people with the opportunity to broaden their vocational horizons and improve their career prospects by working overseas.
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to Queensland residents who have completed an apprenticeship or traineeship (Certificate III or above) in the past 4 years and have gained relevant work experience. Recipients must arrange a work or study placement before leaving Australia, however, the Foundation may help to establish contact and make arrangements with overseas organisations.
Annual Amount: 0
Amount Comment: The scholarship is valued at up to $7,000, and is comprised of a return airfare to the country of choice as well as a settling-in allowance to cover initial costs encountered.
Application closing date: 31 October
Other Details: Recipients are required to give an undertaking to return to Queensland after the scholarship period and provide the Foundation with a report on the experience.
