Job Summary
Post-doctoral scholar will work on an ongoing research project that is investigating functions of DNA base excision repair proteins and their effects on cancer cells, particularly focusing on cellular sensitivity to reactive oxygen species. Expertise in current molecular and cell biological techniques are required, including DNA cloning and purification, transfection of DNA into cells and Western blotting. The individual should be intelligent and intuitive enough to be able to learn other specialized techniques, to work independently and to be self motivated, present research findings verbally and in writing, and help train others. The scholar will be expected to be able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
