Position Summary
The Systems Neuroscience laboratory of Prof. Christopher A. Del Negro, in the Department of Applied Science at The College of William and Mary, seeks a post-doctoral research associate to investigate the cellular and synaptic neural mechanisms of breathing behavior in mammals. The successful candidate will receive training in, and apply, two-photon, confocal microscopy, electrophysiology, and transgenic mouse technologies. Experience with patch-clamp electrophysiology, fluorescence microscopy, and work with in vitro preparations from neonatal mice is desirable. The position is available Nov 01, 2011. Required Qualifications
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or M.D.) in neuroscience, physiology, biology, or a closely related cross-disciplinary field by the time of appointment.
