Description   National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) offers 300 STEM grad students a 1-year fellowship to carry out NASA research in Washington DC for 10 weeks. NASA offers these awards for graduate students to study and conduct research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields relevant to NASA. Each Graduate Student Researchers Program (GSRP) 12-month fellowship award includes a 10-week NASA Center/HQ research experience at the NASA Center/HQ, in Washington DC, extending the award. 
Award Amount   $20,000 stipend, $6,000 student allowance and a $3,000 university allowance. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Full-time graduate student, at any stage of studies, from accredited U.S. college or university. Application must be sponsored by a graduate faculty advisor or department chair. For graduate students who are engaged in STEM studies related to NASA research and development. Proposal idea to be sent to a mentor. 1 letter of recommendation from the applicant's faculty advisor. Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
