Henry and Rachael Ackman Travelling Scholarship in Architecture
Description: Emanuel Percy Ackman bequeathed funds to the university in 1965 to provide The Henry and Rachael Ackman Travelling Scholarships and the Minnie Ackman Lectures. The scholarship enables graduates of the Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning to travel abroad to pursue further studies in the field of architecture.
Eligibility: Applicants must be in receipt of a place to study architecture in an overseas university or similar institution. Preference will be given to applicants intending to study housing for aged persons, family or domestic architecture. The scholar is required to provide an annual report on progress.
Annual Amount: 10000
Amount Comment: The travel grant is valued at up to $30,000 in total (actual value of award to be determined by the Faculty Trust Fund Sub-Committee and University Council). The scholarship is tenable for study abroad for up to 3 years.

Other Details: This architecture scholarship is awarded biennially in even-numbered years. The Henry and Rachael Ackman Travelling Scholarships are awarded to medicine and architecture students in alternate years.
