Short Description:Insitutional scholarships offered to students in many of our programs
Long Description:

We are pleased to announce the East West Scholarship for the academic year 2011-2012. The number of scholarships available for each program are as follows: eight awards for DO, five awards for PharmD, two awards for Vet Med, one award for PA, one award for DPT, one award for MSHS, one award for DMD, one award for MSN, one award for DPM, one award for OD, one award for MSBS, an additional six family scholarships and an additional COMP Alumni scholarship. DO Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $1,500 and all other program scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000.

Scholarship Criteria:
  • Minimum 3.2 Cumulative GPA
  • Volunteer work prior to attending WesternU, and currently involved
  • Financial need based scholarship
  • Essay required emphasizing community involvement past/present, to be submitted directly to the Financial Aid Office; Student candidates must submit their East West Scholarship essays as a word document
  • Must be actively enrolled in the 2011-12 academic year

Other Information:Winners will be required to attend the East West Scholarship Dinner on Saturday, April 21, 2012. You may contact the Special Events Department for further information.� The number of scholarships and the award amounts may vary annually. All applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline date. Your ID and your discipline must be listed on the first page of your letter. PLEASE NOTE THAT PREVIOUS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
