The US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration awards fellowships for grad students in transportation-related disciplines to research and study for 3 years. This is a promising opportunity for students to conduct research related to transportation at a Department of Transportation facility. Fellowships for master's candidates awards are for up to two years and for doctoral candidates awards are for up to three years. All modes of transportation are encompassed. Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU), and Community Colleges (CC) are encouraged to apply.


Eligibility & Requirements

Must be enrolled at a US institution and plan to enter the transportation profession after completing education. Must be pursuing master's degrees or doctorates in transportation-related fields full-time at the university of the applicant's choice. Open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Should have at least 1 full academic year remaining in program of study. 4 letters of recommendation. Transcript.
