Description The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) offers 3-year postdoctoral fellowships to support young scientists who wish to receive training in cancer immunology. The CRI awards funding to ensure that the most promising young scientists receive the critical financial support and continued career training needed to pursue their life-saving work. Fellowships provide support to fund and train young immunologists and cancer immunologists at top universities and research centers around the world. Fellows work and continue their training under the guidance of a world-leading immunologist, who mentors the fellow and prepares him or her for a productive and successful career in cancer immunology.
Award Amount Stipend amount of $50,000 for the first year, $53,000 for the second year, and $57,000 for the third year. Plus, an institutional allowance of $1,500 per year. Payments are made monthly in U.S. currency to the host institution.

Requirements Must have received a doctoral degree within the last 5 years or expect to receive a doctoral degree by the date of award activation. Applicants for the Fellowship Program must be working in areas directly related to cancer immunology. An eligible project must fall into the broad field of immunology and must show relevance to solving the cancer problem. Must take place at a nonprofit institution. CV and bibliography. Brief summary of the project and an abstract of the project in non-technical English. Research proposal. Letter from the sponsor introducing the applicant and describing the sponsor’s qualifications to direct the proposed research, which includes assurance of direct supervision by the sponsor. Sponsor’s CV, bibliography and a list of sponsor’s current research support. 2 letters of recommendation are required: 1 letter must be from the applicant’s thesis advisor.
