Position Summary
The Mason School of Business is seeking energetic and creative candidates for the position of Assistant Director of MBA Admissions. The Assistant Director of MBA Admissions will be a key member of the MBA Admissions Team and will assist the Director and Associate Director of MBA Admissions with the development of innovative strategies, initiatives, partnerships and programs that ensure successful attraction, recruitment, matriculation and retention of high-caliber domestic and international students for the full-time MBA program.
The Assistant Director's responsibilities include working collaboratively with Executive Partners, MBA Programs, other Mason School MBA Admissions teams, Marketing and Communications, W&M CareerPREP and Corporate Relations, Alumni Relations and W&M Alumni and Student Ambassadors in implementing outreach and recruitment efforts.
Required Qualifications
The Assistant Director will have knowledge of the latest technology in MBA Admissions and exhibit strong computer skills, as well as possess knowledge of MBA Admissions research, trends, and areas of interest to MBA candidates. A desired candidate must be a strong individual contributor as well as an effective collaborator in the overall team effort.
The Assistant Director must have strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills; and strong organizational skills. Ability to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and make sound decisions accordingly are essential. Must have the ability to multitask, take initiative, and speak in front of groups.
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, education or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree preferred. Student services experience and knowledge of international markets helpful.
