Description
A Cancer Research Technologies funded technical position is available to help identify novel therapies for metastatic melanoma. This two year project will involve generation of recombinant proteins for pre-clinical models of metastatic disease. It will involve the generation, propogation and harvesting of stable cell lines, purification of protein and analysis of protein purity. The project will be jointly supervised by Professor David Bates in the Microvascular Research Laboratories in the School of Physiology and Pharmacology in the University of Bristol and Professor Jean-Phillippe Girard at the Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology at the University of Toulouse in France.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, bright, motivated individual seeking to further cancer research with an emphasis on translational medicine.You should have, or expect to have an honours degree in a relevant subject, particularly in biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, biological or biomedical sciences, anatomy, zoology or related subjects. The post will be based in Bristol, but requires a secondment to Toulouse for at least nine months.
