- £24520 to £26779 per annum, pro rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months. Hours of work are 19 per week including some Saturdays and evenings work.
Applicants are invited for the above post for an experienced individual to operate the research MRI scanners at the Sir Peter Mansfield Magnetic Resonance Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a cutting edge MRI research programme in methodological development, cognitive neuroscience and translational imaging including clinical trials.
Candidates should have a science degree in Psychology, Physics, Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and ideally previous MRI experience. They should be confident, organized, have good communication skills and enjoy working with a variety of different people including volunteers and research workers. Candidates will be required to lift or carry heavy items as this role will involve changing scanner RF coils and helping patients in and out of the scanner.
