- £24520 to £26779 per annum pro rata, depending upon skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
Applications are invited for the above position from enthusiastic researchers with fMRI experience.
This post has arisen as a result of an Early Career and Knowledge Transfer Award to Dr Völlm, Clinical Associate Professor in Forensic Psychiatry. The purpose of the role is to conduct an fMRI study using oxytocin in healthy and psychopathic individuals to collect pilot data for a subsequent grant application. The successful candidate will design scanning tasks, recruit participants from the community and secure forensic-psychiatric settings, book participants for scanning, conduct the scanning and analyse scanning data.
Candidates must have a good first degree or equivalent (2:1 or higher) in psychology or a related discipline with excellent oral and written communication skills. A relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable.
It is a condition of this post that satisfactory Enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
This post is available from 1 November 2012 and will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months. Hours of work are 29 per week, to be agreed.
