We wish to appoint a researcher in Type 2 Diabetes Research to co-ordinate a novel programme of research and the setting up of de novo feasibility studies within the diabetes and sedentary behaviour theme of the BRU.
Reporting to Professor Ashley Cooper and Dr Rob Andrews (leads, diabetes theme within the BRU), you will work closely with colleagues from the Centre for Exercise, Nutrition and Health Sciences (Dr Angie Page, Dr Russ Jago), from Social and Community Medicine (Dr Katrina Turner), and the central BRU research team (led by Professor Andy Ness). You must, therefore, have excellent communication, time-management and team-work skills. You will also be expected to work with patient and public groups as well as NHS teams to ensure the acceptability of the studies.
Whilst most of the work will be focused on novel analyses and planning/co-ordinating new feasibility studies, there will be opportunities for participating in publications, conference presentations and teaching as appropriate to your interests and expertise.
