The Cancer Sciences Unit in Southampton has a strong track record in basic and translational immunology including development of therapeutic antibodies and vaccines that elicit anti-cancer immunity.

A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the group of Professor Mark Cragg investigating a series of novel therapeutic antibodies in collaboration with Bioinvent International. BioInvent is a research-based pharmaceutical company developing innovative antibody drugs to target diseases with unmet clinical need. The Company's pipeline currently includes product candidates for the treatment of cancer, thrombosis and atherosclerosis. The successful candidate will investigate novel mAb capable of augmenting anti-cancer or reducing autoimmune activities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with research experience in biochemical, molecular-biological or immunological techniques. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in lymphocyte biology, signaling or molecular biology. The post is full-time and offered in the first instance for a fixed term period of 1 year with the potential for renewal for up to 3 years. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent data management, verbal and written communication skills and will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
