Delmas Foundation (For Research in Venice and the Veneto)
The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation announces its 2011-12 programme of grants (predoctoral and postdoctoral) for travel to and residence in Venice and the Veneto. Grants will be awarded for historical research specifically on Venice and the former Venetian empire, and for study of contemporary Venetian society and culture. Disciplines of the humanities and social sciences are eligible areas of study, including (but not limited to) archaeology, architecture, art, bibliography, economics, history, history of science, law, literature, music, political science, religion, and theatre.

The Sir Richard Stapeley Educational Trust
The Sir Richard Stapeley Educational Trust supports postgraduate students in all fields of study (and all students in medicine, dentistry and veterinary studies.) Grants are normally from £300 to £1000 in value for one academic year only. They are not available to students already holding a major award, and only those resident in the UK are eligible.

Entente Cordiale Scholarships (for French students to study in the UK)
The Entente Cordiale Scholarship Scheme is a prestigious bi-lateral awards scheme that funds French postgraduate students who want to study in the UK, and British students who want to study in France (British students please click here for info.)
For French students: The total value of an Entente Cordiale scholarships normally amounts to £10,000. The scholarship can fund Master's courses, running over a period of 12 months, or one year of a PhD programme (not renewable.)

The Japan IMF Scholarship Programme for Advanced Studies (JISP) funds Japanese students studying for a Ph.D in Macroeconomics at a university outside of Japan.
