We are delighted to announce that the British Young Potential Leaders programme is being supported by two scholarships kindly donated by one of our alumni, Jurek Piasecki. Jurek Piasecki spent 25 years with the Goldsmiths Group, rising to become Chairman and CEO. Under his tenure the retailer grew its turnover from £3m to more than £300m. Goldsmiths was the UK's second largest jewellery retailer in 2004. Jurek obtained his MBA in 1973 and attributes much of his success to the Manchester Business School MBA programme. He now wishes to see others benefit from the same experience. This is the third year that Jurek is supporting this initiative and we are very grateful his contribution.
Awards: 2 x £20,000
One scholarship remains for new applicants for 2012 entry from the Jurek Piasecki fund (one Jurek Piasecki Scholarships has already been offered to a 2011 deferred applicant for 2012 entry); and one new 2012 entry applicant funded by Manchester Business School.
