Applications are invited for the above studentship based in the George Green Institute for Electromagnetics Research (GGIEMR) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham.  The post is funded by a project that addresses new challenges related to the simulation of the intense burst of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation that is generated during a nuclear explosion by the interaction of gamma photons and the surrounding air and is associated with the Departments expanding portfolio of research in electromagnetic compatibility.  Within this project, the person appointed will focus their research on issues related to radiated EMC (emissions and immunity).

This post is an excellent opportunity to become involved at the forefront of research in this exciting and rapidly developing technology area and to join a dynamic and internationally renowned research group.

The application requirements for this studentship is that they should be expecting, or holding, a good Honors degree in a relevant discipline. They should have the ability to undertake computational work, to work independently and have good interpersonal and IT skills.
