In recognition of academic excellence, you will be awarded a one-off payment of £1,000 if you start an undergraduate honours degree programme within the Faculty of Engineering* in 2012 with A level grades of AAA (equivalent performance in alternative qualifications such as IB or BTEC will also be considered).
In order to qualify for the scholarship, you will need to have made The University of Nottingham your first (firm) choice in the UCAS application process.
If you are progressing from the Faculty of Engineering’s foundation year with a pass mark of 80 per cent or more, you are also eligible for the £1,000 award.
Students progressing from a foundation year at any other institution within the HEU category, with a high IB score (or equivalent) may also be eligible for this award. Each case will be considered individually against The University of Nottingham guidelines.
The scholarship will be paid automatically, you do not need to apply.
- Only available to students who make The University of Nottingham their first (firm) choice at the appropriate time within the UCAS application process
- Based on the three A levels in your offer from UCAS Students registering on degree programmes jointly offered by Faculties outside engineering are not eligible
- Only students who commence their studies in the Faculty of Engineering (UK) in 2012 are eligible for the scholarship
