Our chair is part of ETH’s MTEC Department where we investigate how the possession of social power affects decision-making, goal pursuit, and self-control processes. Furthermore, we are interested in the consequences that a state of powerlessness has on people’s cognition, emotion, and behavior.

Job description

We are currently looking for a research assistant who proofreads our English texts, including study materials, manuscripts, etc. We are exclusively searching for a native English speaker.

The work load will vary but will not exceed 15 hours per week (it will typically be much lower). If interested (but not a must), there may be an opportunity to be involved in other research activities at the chair, such as data collection or text coding.

Your profile

The candidate should ideally have experience with scientific writing and proof-reading. Exceptional language skills and mastery of the American English grammar and spelling are requested. We expect a reliable work ethic. Proof-readings are typically expected to be done within a week.

Applicants must currently be enrolled at ETHZ or at the University of Zurich to apply for this position.
