Post-doctoral research position in Political Science with a Specialization in Global Governance at the Department of Political Science. Reference number SU 619-1882-12. Deadline for applications: July 31, 2012.

Stockholm University invites applications for one post-doctoral position in political science, oriented toward research on global governance, international institutions and transnational actors.

The post-doctoral position is part of the research project “The Design of International Institutions: Legitimacy, Effectiveness, and Distribution in Global Governance,” financed by the European Research Council and directed by Professor Jonas Tallberg. The fellow will be part of the internationally composed Transaccess/Transdemos research group at the Department of Political Science, involving about 15 researchers. Required qualifications
We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in political science, or corresponding, and competence within the areas of global governance and transnational actors. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of comparative research on the global governance of policy areas such as environmental issues, trade, finance, development, human rights, health, security or migration.

The post-doctoral position is open to candidates of any nationality and selection will be based upon the candidate's research merits and potential.
Terms of employment
The position is a two-year full-time appointment, and involves 80 percent research and 20 percent teaching. The expected starting date is September–October 2012.
