Technical University of Košice - Faculty of Economics announces two fully funded PhD positions available for a three-year duration, starting from September 1, 2024. These opportunities are ideal for candidates interested in advancing their research in the fields of Finance and Spatial & Regional Economics.
Position 1: Finance
Under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Jozef Glova, PhD, this position focuses on the "Implications of Intellectual Capital Measurement for Organizational and Market Performance."
Position 2: Spatial and Regional Economics
Led by Assoc. Prof. Matúš Kubák, PhD, this position is dedicated to "Mapping and Revealing Research Trends and Cooperation Networks in Projects Funded by the European Union."

Application and its components:
a) Application to a doctoral study at the Faculty of Economics TUKE should be submitted ONLY in electronic form using the following application form: MAIS - Electronic application - (tuke.sk) and should contain all requested information and attachments (documents).
b) Obligatory attachments of electronic application to a doctoral study at the Faculty of Economics TUKE:
▪ Officially certified copies of the certificate and diploma from the master's degree program (appropriate specialisation). If the applicants do not have a diploma and certificate at the time of submission of applications, they will notify the Study Office at the Faculty of Economics TUKE by e-mail ([email protected] ) and deliver them immediately after receiving them.
▪ Official documents about the previous study issued and confirmed by the study office of the faculty/university at which the applicant successfully graduated and awarded a master's degree diploma – List of all courses completed during the study and classification of all courses and weighted average classification for the entire research included (can be replaced by officially certified copies of the Diploma Supplements from the bachelor's and master's degree programs).
▪ A scanned copy of the bill declaring the paid fee for an admission procedure.
▪ Curriculum vitae.
▪ List publications (if any).
▪ Project of doctoral (PhD.) thesis
▪ Recommendation letter (from previous graduated school or workplace)
▪ If the applicant has unique health requirements (e.g., disabled applicants), a medical certificate should be delivered. If no medical documents are submitted, the applicant is presumed to be medically fit.
