The position and perspective of cooperatives in the economy of the European Union

Cooperatives as a form of business have a rich history in our territory - in the past in 1845, the first credit union in the world was established in Hungary and the first in Czechoslovakia we were even considered as a cooperative power. Transition to planned economy and later the transformation process after 1989 significantly changed awareness about cooperatives and their role, which continues to this day in society. Within some member countries of the European Union, cooperatives continue to play an important role in fulfilling social and economic needs of the community. The subject of dissertation research is analysis the current status of the cooperatives and its future perspective in the domestic economy but also generally in the countries of the European Union. Through the use of statistics, econometrics and case studies from the environment of domestic and foreign cooperatives we will consider with macro and microeconomic importance of cooperative business from a social point of view economy and efficiency. Topic for full-time study applicants. Dissertation will be processed in Slovak language.

Postavenie a perspektíva družstevníctva v hospodárstve Európskej únie

Družstevníctvo ako forma podnikania má na našom území bohatú históriu – vo vtedajšom Uhorsku v roku 1845 vzniklo prvé úverové družstvo na svete a za prvej Československej republiky sme boli dokonca považovaní za družstevnú veľmoc. Prechod na plánované hospodárstvo a neskôr aj transformačný proces po roku 1989 výrazne zmenili povedomie o družstvách a ich úlohe, ktoré v spoločnosti pretrváva dodnes. V rámci niektorých členských krajín Európskej únie naďalej zohrávajú družstvá významnú úlohu pri naplňovaní sociálnych a hospodárskych potrieb spoločenstva. Predmetom výskumu dizertačnej práce je analýza súčasného postavenia družstevníctva a jeho budúca perspektíva v tuzemskom hospodárstve ale aj všeobecne v krajinách Európskej únie. Prostredníctvom využitia štatistiky, ekonometrie a prípadových štúdií z prostredia domácich aj zahraničných družstiev sa budeme zaoberať makro a mikroekonomickou významnosťou družstevného podnikania z hľadiska sociálneho hospodárstva a efektivity. Téma pre uchádzačov o dennú formu štúdia. Dizertačná práca sa bude spracovávať v slovenskom jazyku.
