Edinburgh Global Japan Earthquake 2011 Masters Scholarships
Following the devastating earthquake and tsunami which struck the east coast of Japan on Friday 11th March 2011, the University will offer up to six Master's scholarships for students from the Tohoku, Northern Kanto, and Hokkaido regions undertaking a postgraduate Master's degree programme offered by the University of Edinburgh in the academic session 2012-2013.
The scholarship will provide an award of £10,000 towards tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic session.
The scholarship will be awarded to a Japanese citizen who is normally resident in the Tohoku, Northern Kanto, and Hokkaido regions; has resided there for a minimum of three years; and who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for study on a Master's programme in any subject offered by the University of Edinburgh.
The application deadline for this award has now passed. We can accept no further appliations at this time.
The winners of the scholarship will be announced in late June 2012.
