Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship, within the framework of project/R&D institution “Study of the action of tryptophan metabolites and theirs metal complexes on microbiota exposed to ionizing radiation ”/ Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares (C2 TN) from Instituto Superior Técnico, (UID/Multi/04349/2020), with the financial support of FCT/MCTES
Workplan: Chemical speciation modeling of tryptophan metabolites and their metal complexes, evaluation of their anti-inflammatory activity and effects on radioresistence of human microbiota
Duration: The research fellowship will have the duration of 7 months. Not renewed.

Benefits
Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1 259,64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Selection process
Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation (40 %); experience in the field of the project (40%); publications in peer-reviewed international journals (20%), with a maximum of 20 points for each evaluation item. If needed, the jury will have an interview with the candidates.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal: A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15.
