Offer Description

Work plan: the master student will develop tasks within the scope of the Portuguese Dialogues project, whose main objective is to provide sources and a database, and to develop studies on Portuguese Dialogues. The activities to be performed will be as follows:

 

  • entering information into the “Portuguese Dialogues” database in collaboration with the scientific supervisors;
  • carrying out research to update the existing data in the database;
  • writing a scientific article based on the data collected in the “Portuguese Dialogues” database, to be presented at a conference or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, preferably indexed.

 

Duration of the fellowship: the fellowship will last for 6 months, starting in July 2024. The fellowship contract may be renewable.

In the case of academic degrees obtained in foreign HEI, it is necessary to present the recognition of the obtained degrees, in accordance with DL nº 66/2018, of 16th of August; or, in the absence of recognition at the time of application, a sworn statement that this recognition will be completed before contracting the Scholarship in case of being the selected candidate. It is mandatory to present the recognition until the date of contracting the scholarship.

Benefits

Amount of monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the scholarship corresponds to 1259.64€, according to the table of values of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). To this amount is added the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first level, in case the candidate opts for its attribution, as well as the personal accident insurance.

To be enrolled in a PhD. Scientific area: Humanities

 

In compliance with the provisions of article 7 of the FCT Research Grants Regulation (Reg. nº 950/2019), applicants must:

a) To be enrolled in a PhD;

b) not exceed, with the conclusion of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of one year in this type of scholarship, consecutive or interpolated.

 

Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries require registration by a Portuguese HEI, in accordance with Decree- law nº 66/2018, of August 26th , and Portaria nº 33/2019, of January 25th . Selection process

Selection methods: the selection methods to be used are as follows: curricular assessment (60%), and letter of motivation (40%). To settle a tie, an interview may be requested.

Publication / notification of results: the final results of the evaluation will be publicized by email through a list ordered by the final grade obtained. All applicants will be notified by email.

After the provisional list of evaluation results has been communicated, candidates have a period of 10 working days to comment, if they wish, in a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with Articles 121 and following of the Administrative Procedure Code. The final decision must be taken within a maximum period of 60 working days after the conclusion of the prior hearing of interested parties or the public consultation.

Complaints may be lodged against the final decision within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days, both after the respective notification.
