1.At the discretion of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust Board, and in accordance with the Trust act, grants may be made to students who either are or at some time have been resident within the Trust district, or are attending a course at UCOL@ Wairarapa campus.
2.The Trust district comprises the former Borough of Masterton and the Masterton Small Farm Settlement, as defined in the Masterton Trust Lands Trust Act.
3.Residence within the district shall be defined as living with a parent or guardian or in a charitable institution in the district (excluding boarding hostels).
4.Grants shall be made to student undertaking a full time course of tertiary education. This is a once only grant. Applications not considered for courses of completed study.
5.The value of a grant shall be at the discretion of the Trust and will be determined following the closing of applications.
6.Payment of an award shall be made to students following receipt of advice that the course of studies has been commenced. Please attach acknowledgement of enrolment acceptance/payment of fees, if not please forward as soon as available.
7.Applications close 31 March each year. Applications are only accepted 1 February to 31 March each year.
8.All applications shall be sent to the Secretary-manager, Masterton Trust Lands Trust, P O Box 90, Masterton, or delivered to 189 Queen Street.

Application cannot be accepted before 31/12/2012.
