Offer Description

This is a full-time research position in which you will work with patient-derived organoids. The aim of the project is to identify drug targets to rescue rare pediatric kidney diseases.

The first 3 years are funded by the Dutch Kidney foundation. Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the CAO of UMC Utrecht. The project starts between April-June 2024. Your application should include a motivation letter, a CV, and the contact details of two referees.

Requirements
Specific Requirements

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated PhD student with good communication skills in English. The applicant must have a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent.

Preferably, you have hands-on experimental skills and experience with genetics, cell culture, microscopy and multi-omics data analysis. Experience in the field of nephrology would be an advantage.

Benefits

The maximum salary for this position (36 - 36 hours) is € 3.677,00 gross per month based on full-time employment.

In addition, we offer an annual benefit of 8.3%, holiday allowance, travel expenses and career opportunities. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Cao University Medical Centers (UMC).
