Postdoctoral Position in Aerodynamic and Hydrodynamic Design, Reykjavik University Iceland

Applications are invited for an immediate post-doctoral position in the area of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic design at the Engineering Optimization & Modeling Center (EOMC, http://eomc.ru.is), School of Science and Engineering, Reykjavik University, Iceland.
The position will involve carrying out research in the area of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic shape optimization. Research includes development of computational fluid dynamic (CFD) models for use in surrogate-based optimization, performing numerical experiments involving CFD simulations, as well as development of the relevant software.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. The skills and experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered a strong asset:
• CFD modeling and simulation and relevant software (e.g., Ansys FLUENT, ICEM CFD, OpenFoam),
• Matlab programming,
• CAD modeling,
• Numerical optimization.
