Two PhD thesis positions are offered for the investigation of the mysterious origin of the galactic positron annihilation emission, as detected by the information theory and galactic astrophysics. The goal is to develop and to apply novel signal analysis methods in order to separate and image the different physical gamma ray emission processes in the galaxy.
