Precision therapy of cancers requires a stratification of patients and an identification of therapeutic targets by integration of multi-level omics data, metabolic data and clinical data from oncological cohorts. We, the Research Unit Radiation Cytogenetics, seek for the new transformation Translational Metabolomic oncology a highly motivated Phd candidate (f/m/x).

Your tasks
The new Project Senirad adresses important questions in the field of radio-oncology (metabolism and senescence) using translational research approaches and combining the generation and computational analysis of high-dimensional data from multiple molecular levels of large-scale clinical cohorts. In vitro model systems are used to elucidate complex interactions and metabolic processes between tumor and tumor microenvironment and their implications on therapeutic response.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in bioinformatics, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or similar
- Experience with sequencing data, bioinformatic knowledge (R packages)
- Experience in cell culture techniques is advantageous
- Flexibility, dedication, teamwork skills and reliability are required
- Good skills in English language

Remuneration and social security benefits are based on the German Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees at Federal Level (EG 13 50% TV EntgO Bund). The position has an (initial) fixed term of three years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
