Offer Description
The Chair of Finance (Professor Marcel Fischer) at the Department of Economics of the University of Konstanz is inviting applications for a position as a PhD candidate.
Gross salary will be 50% of a full time position, in accordance with the regulations of the German public service salary scale TV-L E13. The initial contract will have a duration of three years (with a possible extension). The successful candidate will contribute to the Chair’s research and teaching responsibilities. The starting date is 1st October 2024 or earlier.
Applicants should have excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as an interest in research questions addressed by the research group. A very good scientific graduate degree in economics or a related field (e.g. mathematics, physics, or computer science) is mandatory. Fluency in English is required, skills in German are an advantage.
The successful applicant will also be enrolled as a PhD candidate of the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences (GSBS).
