Postdoc within mineral availability in gluten free food crops
Department of Food Science, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen invites applications for a position as postdoc for 2½ year in mineral availability in gluten free food crops from September 1st, 2012 or as soon possible thereafter.
The Quality and Technology section conducts research, provides education and offers industrial collaboration in the following areas: Chemometrics and applied biospectroscopy; Metabolomics and process analytical technology; Plant food research and applications to improve food quality and health.

Duties
The postdoc´s duties will include research within the content of chemical components in gluten free food crops grown in Denmark with the main focus on the minerals and their availability in food. The project is part of a co-operation project about organic gluten free product with participation of Danish farmers, food companies and other researchers. The post may include teaching to a limited extent.
Qualifications - selection criteria
Applicants must have an academic degree within agricultural or food sciences. Qualifications within the following scientific areas are required:
- Documented scientific qualifications such as a Ph.D. or equivalent in relation to the above subject area
- Practical experiences within analyses of phytases and/or inositolphosphates
- Documented knowledge within cereals and/or legumes as food
The postdoc is also required to be enterprising and to possess good interpersonal skills.
Terms of employment
The post will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The post is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure.
