The Department of Chemistry at Masaryk University & the International Clinical Research Centre in the Czech Republic offers postdoctoral position in organic synthesis. Selected candidate will join the Laboratory of Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry supervised by Dr. Jakub Svenda and Dr. Kamil Paruch (see: orgsyn.sci.muni.cz ).
Our laboratory at Masaryk University is international and has numerous collaborations with top biologists and innovative pharma companies, creating potential for future career opportunities. We are also part of the International Clinical Research Centre (ICRC), which is a joint research centre of St. Anne´s University Hospital in Brno (Czech Republic) and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (USA) (see: http://www.fnusa-icrc.org/en/ ).
Job Description
The postdoctoral scientist will participate on research projects dealing with the preparation of non-trivial organic molecules used to explore important areas in biology and human medicine. The current topics of interest include the development of natural products and synthetic molecules as modulators of adenylyl cyclases, protein kinases, DNA nucleases and polymerases, and ribosomes. The researcher will actively participate on the research design, interact with biologists and will have an opportunity to gain experience with mentoring of junior students.
