THE OPEN CALL

for a research assistant (M/F) in the in the research area: Technical sciences, discipline: Geodesy, at the Chair of Geoinformation in the Institute of Cartography and Photogrammetry at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Geodesy, temporary contract employment with full time working hours, based on the results of the competition of the Croatian Science Foundation "Career Development Project for Young Researchers - Training of New Doctors of Science (DOK-2021-02)”.

Skills/Qualifications:

• an appropriate Bachelor's Degree and Master's degree or an equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate research field
• overall grade point average of the previous levels of study (Bachelor's study programme and Master's study programme or equivalent graduate study programme) which provides the admission and enrollment into the doctoral study.

Specific Requirements:

• previous recognitions, awards, etc. for excellence in studying and research work
• participation in scientific research, published papers, presentations at scientific and professional conferences
• active knowledge of English in speech and writing
• commitment to collaborative work
• a high level of motivation
• good communication skills.

Job description:

• studying at University postgraduate doctoral study of geodesy and geoinformatics (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Geodesy)
• work on Ph.D. dissertation in the research area: Technical sciences, discipline: Geodesy
• scientific research within the European Union's Horizon2020 project Twinning Open Data Operational – TODO (857592-TODO)
• presentation of research results at international scientific meetings and publication of scientific papers in international peer-review journals.

Along with the complete documentation evidencing the specified legal requirements, written applications should be supported by:

• Curriculum Vitae
• adequate degree certificates (copy of diploma)
• proof of citizenship
• certificate of no criminal record issued by a competent court (not older than six months)
• certificate containing data recorded in the databases of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (electronic entry)
• foreign citizens are obliged to attach the proof of competence in Croatian language -advanced level.
